It takes audacity to go to Nia Imani Academy. It takes hope, courage, and dreaming. Nia Imani Academy is filled with dreams, each one waiting for a student to find the right one. And when they find the right one its fits perfectly. Students learn to strive to learn. Unlike other academies, instead of covering ourselves up with mask to be a different person, we change our insides to be a better person. We come here with "faith and purpose." We are comfortable with our teachers because we know them and some are actually related to us. My favorite classes are french, spanish and art. We learn to go out into the world. We "Enter to Learn and Depart to Serve!

My passion is to be a part of a community of leaders that inspires children to reach their goals and to become successful contributors of our society. Working at Nia Imani Academy helped to cultivate that passion. As a future doctor, I will continue to mentor children in the U.S. and abroad.

Nia Imani Academy has been an educational learning experience for me. This is my first year here and I already know a lot of people. One of my tutors, Ms. Daria taught me how to multiply two digits....We also work hard and play hard!

What I like about Nia Imani Academy is that we read a lot of books like Prince Caspian, Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters, Ruby Bridges, and Romeo and Juliet. We also work hard and do our homework. We go on trips and play learning games....I learned multiplication here.

Nia Imani Academy has helped me a lot. They teach you Spanish, French and reading plus more. I love a lot of things here but my favorite is praying to God.

Helping children improve and to successfully navigate through school has always been one of my goals, and Nia Imani Academy has given me that opportunity. I have been blessed to be a part of the Nia Imani Academy for a year now. A friend first recommended me in December of 2009 and since then I have been extremely grateful. Working with the students has equipped me with great patience and other sets of useful skills. Joining Nia Imani family has been one of my best and most memorable experiences.

Nia Imani has been a blessing to our family by assisting our grandchildren with their education and growth as young children. Nia Imani encourages all children to reach their full potential. The director meets with the schools, teachers and parents when needed to assure the parents that all expected academic goals for their children are being met. The Ford Family would like to thank Nia Imani Academy’s director and the entire staff for your devoted attention and support to our children.
